Shimla - the summer capital of British India - is the current capital of Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It has been endowed with abundance of natural heritage. It has a scenic location confined by green hills with snow covering the peaks.

The Tibetan market is well known for its imported goods mainly electronics and fancy items.

In winter chilly winds blowing from the upper Himalayas makes Shimla very cold especially in last week of December. Temperature varies from 15 to 27 degree Celsius in summers while in winters it ranges from 0 to 17 degree Celsius.
