Jim Corbett is the oldest and very renowned wildlife sanctuary of India with a huge diversity in flora and fauna. This place was established as the Hailey national park to protect some endangered species like the Royal Bengal tiger, etc. The park was then renamed to Jim Corbett National Park after the famous conservationist and wildlife author, Jim Corbett. The national park is located in the beautiful valley of sub-Himalayan region with bit of kumaoni touch in the culture. It has explicit belt of grasslands and habitats which are the basic reason behind the survival of the longest food chain. With more than 400+ species, the park is a must-visit if you want to encounter the wilderness of the predators and escape of the prey.

Being a restricted wildlife sanctuary, there is a very small portion available to visit and perform the tourist activities. This is done because many a times it becomes tough to maintain the ecological balance and a natural habitat for species to survive. The park also has the neighboring tiger reserve which when put together with Corbett becomes the Corbett Tiger Reserve. The neighboring reserve is the Sonanadi natural reserve. The park has exciting wildlife and habitat to watch. You can go there and enjoy camping, tracking and safaris and relish the green wilderness to the last bit.
